Amman, July 2013 - Middle East Payment Services (MEPS) - a licensed issuer and acquirer of MasterCard cards and a processor of all types of MasterCard transactions in Jordan and Palestine - sponsored an Iftar at IBDAA Charity Society’s Ramadan Tent which is located on the 8th Circle in Amman. The Iftar took place on 29th July, 2013, and was attended by approximately 120 orphaned children ages 7 - 12.   Also present at the Iftar was MEPS Chairman, Dr. Abdel Malek Jaber, as well as a group of MEPS employees who helped organize the event.   “We continuously strive to collaborate with different organizations that seek to promote social cohesion and support less fortunate segments of society. Taking part in IBDAA Charity Society’s Ramadan Iftar underscores our ongoing efforts to give back to our community, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan,” commented Dr. Jaber.   In turn, IBDAA Charity Society Chairwoman, Maha Darweesh, said, “MEPS’ support is a testament to its heightened sense of responsibility towards the local community. We look forward to future cooperation with MEPS, in line with our efforts to achieve social equality across the Kingdom.”   This Iftar event is part of a series of charity campaigns MEPS seeks to implement throughout the year.   IBDAA Charity Society is a non-profit organization that aims to support, channel and develop youth’s creative talents within different fields, in order to ultimately advance the local community on par with international societies.
